ForsythForsyth homes for sale
Forsyth first started booming as the the steamboats used to come to the shores at the current site of Shadowrock Park and drop off supplies for the town. Forsyth became the home of the first county courthouse in 1838. Instead of letting the town fall into the hands of the rebels the Federal Forces burnt the town to the ground as they left in 1863. In 1889 a new courthouse was built to take over the one that was lost in a fire in 1865.
The current population is just a little over 2,000 people. More and more people are always moving into the area and finding new reasons to love the area. Forsyth offers a variety of business including restaurants, grocery stores, clothing stores, salons, and so much more. Forsyth also has to offer many great parks and lovely churches for any religion.
Forsyth is known for it’s friendly neighbors and the welcoming atmosphere. It has great access to the multiple lakes in the area. Forsyth’s school district is just ending it’s first year with a new football team. The team is being started in 7th and 8th grades and will increase in training up into high school in just a few short years.
Forsyth is only about 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Branson. Branson contains many shows, restaurants, malls, and lots to do.
